Step 1 — Cleanse & Prep
Apply Advanced Rapid Chelating Cleanser generously to soaking wet hair and scalp. Massage until foamy, rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.
Towel dry hair to 50% dry. Divide into 4 sections and thoroughly brush before application.
Why: Removes deposits and buildup while opening the cuticle — allowing the smoothing solution to reach the hair bonds.
Step 2 — Measure & Mix
Mix at a 1:1 ratio — 50% Smoothing Base + 50% Smoothing Activator.
Short hair: 60–90ml combined
Medium hair: 90–120ml combined
Long hair: 120–180ml combined
Why: The treatment will not work unless the Smoothing Base and Smoothing Activator are properly mixed together.
Step 3 — Apply
Apply solution to ¼"–½" subsections, ¼" off roots. Saturate the hair like colour and comb straight. Do not excessively re-comb after applying.
For hair with different integrities: apply to resistant hair first, weaker hair last. Hair with overly compromised ends — leave out.
Must wear gloves.
Why: Saturating onto 50% towel-dried hair ensures optimal penetration — excess water dilutes the solution and reduces results.
Step 4 — Process
Process in open air. Leave hair straight. Do not clip. Do not use heat.
• 30 minutes to defrizz
• 45 minutes for curl reduction
Why: Processing allows the smoothing technology to move bonds into alignment for desired results.
Step 5 — Rinse & Cleanse
Rinse hair with hot water for 3 minutes. Cleanse 2–3 times with Advanced Rapid Chelating Cleanser, scrubbing vigorously roots to ends.
Important: Rinse and cleanse as directed to remove ALL solution from the hair.
Why: Any residue can block the Laminators and lead to poor or uneven results.
Step 6 — Laminate (Step 1)
Towel dry hair. Apply 60ml of Fragile/Compromised Laminator on large sections, ¼" off scalp to ends. Saturate the hair.
Process for 5 minutes, then rinse.
Must wear gloves.
Why: Crucial for balancing hair's pH and providing essential hydration after the mixed solution.
Step 7 — Laminate (Step 2)
Towel dry hair. Lightly apply 30ml of Coarse/Healthier Laminator on large sections.
Do NOT rinse.
Why: Amplifies the smoothing and de-frizzing properties necessary to complete the treatment.
Step 8 — Blow Dry & Flat Iron
Blow dry using high heat and strong tension with a metal or ceramic round brush. Get the hair as smooth as possible. Do NOT rough dry.
Flat iron at 200–230°C in ½"–1½" sections:
• 8 passes to maintain curl
• 12 passes for sleekest results
After flat ironing, the service is complete. No wait period — clients can exercise, put hair in a clip, etc.
Why: A polished blow dry reduces frizz and helps set the new hair shape. Correct passes and temperature lock in desired results.
